Open-source licenses

Frame Repair itself is proprietary software. It ships together with the open-source components below. Each component stays under its own license. The same notices are inside the app under Frame Repair > Acknowledgements, together with the full license texts.

FFmpeg and the source code offer

Frame Repair includes two FFmpeg command-line programs as separate executables: ffmpeg version 7.1 and ffprobe version 7.0. Both are static arm64 builds configured with --enable-gpl (without --enable-version3), so they are licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2 or (at your option) any later version. Notable GPL components inside: x264, x265, vid.stab and FFmpeg's own postproc filters.

Configuration of both programs, as printed by -version:

--prefix=/Volumes/tempdisk/sw --extra-cflags=-fno-stack-check --arch=arm64 --cc=/usr/bin/clang --enable-gpl --enable-libvmaf --enable-libopenjpeg --enable-libopus --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libx264 --enable-libx265 --enable-libvpx --enable-libwebp --enable-libass --enable-libfreetype --enable-fontconfig --enable-libtheora --enable-libvorbis --enable-libsnappy --enable-libaom --enable-libvidstab --enable-libzimg --enable-libsvtav1 --enable-libharfbuzz --enable-libkvazaar --pkg-config-flags=--static --enable-ffplay --enable-postproc --enable-neon --enable-runtime-cpudetect --disable-indev=qtkit --disable-indev=x11grab_xcb

Source code of the shipped versions (official release tarballs):

Sources of the libraries statically linked into these builds (x264, x265, vid.stab and the others listed in the configuration) and of the dependencies of the FFmpeg libraries inside OpenCV are provided on request. Upstream projects: x264 (videolan.org), x265 (multicoreware), vid.stab (github.com/georgmartius/vid.stab).
